I'm hoping to remodel my living room in the next few months or so. I'm hoping to paint the wall ebony so I feel like mustard with natural oak details would really showcase to color of the room and the couch equally.

Little Things, Big Things.

Roads like these are best admired by bike.

I donated my car today. KUT can no longer make me feel like a jerk for only donating the least possible amount during pledge drives. Small victories!
It's bitter sweet, this no car thing. I feel liberated, yet at the same time I'll miss the ability of being able to drive across the state/country to some of my favorite parks and landscapes. I'll just have to ride my bike there instead.
I won't miss using my car as a crutch for when "it's too hot!" or "it's too cold!" or "I'm too hung over!"
Toughen up dummy.
Words of wisdom to myself.

Hills for days!

Just one day, actually.

I rode out to Hamilton pool by myself last week.
My first solo adventure ride...ever really.
I'm trying to ease my way into the comfort of riding long distances alone. You know...for the future...of riding long distances alone.
As I was bombing down the last section of the rolling hillside with a giant smile on my face, I remembered the first time I rode out there. It was five years ago (give or take) in this exact section of descent down this roller-coaster hill with a similar smile on my face, I  thought to myself, "I want to do this all the time!"
Slowly getting there. "
Goals: Do this all the time.

The beginning of something or something...

Hey! Hi! Hello!
I'm the worst at starting things like this.
That's me, Laura...and a pony I made friends with in Utah a few months back.
It's the only recent picture I have of myself so you'll just have to take it at face (and this horses face) value.

I want to give this a try, sooo here we go!

I have plans for the future and I'd like to document it, along with a sort of building up to it.

I don't want to say too much, but it involves me and my bike.
This is my bike.
I'm hoping it'll take me places. You know...more places then it already has.
So that's it. I've started this.
More to come.
